Some of the cream of Irish Giftware producers, hailing from the tranquil region of Fingal in North County Dublin (Ireland), will be presenting an exciting selection of unique products.
The five producers are travelling to the New York International Gift Show in August 2011 with their range of products, including Celtic Inspired Wall Art Giftware using Ogham Script; Gourmet Fruit Preserves; Embroidered Irish Linen; Crystal Giftware influenced by Irish Art; and Limited Edition Giclee prints depicting a “satirised” version of Ireland.
Located on stand 2167 at NYIGF, Fingal’s Finest will look forward to giving visitors to their stand a warm Irish welcome!
The five producers are as follows:
Speciality: Limited Edition Giclee prints Over a twenty-five year period, Alan Kenny's painting style has undergone a dramatic transformation: from creating an idealistic vision of rural Ireland, to creating a satirical, almost unrealistic view of his homeland. His paintings, now available as high quality Giclee prints, represent a so-called 'satirised' version of Ireland. The artist uses thick black to direct the eye, flattening the overall composition. Colour is also used to great effect to fill these shapes, creating an almost stained-glass effect with his art.
Speciality: Cut Crystal (Crystal Giftware influenced by Irish Arts) Liam Caulfield set up Caulfield Glass over ten years ago and it is now one of Ireland’s fastest growing contemporary Cut Crystal Companies. From his studio and showroom, Liam offers an impressive range of quality crystal giftware, corporate gifts and sports awards. Liam also has an in-house customisation and personal engraving service and offers a full range of Tipperary Crystal, Louise Kennedy, Patrick Guilbaud, Galway Crystal, Galway Living and Rynhart Fine Art Bronze pieces. Liam’s main artistic influences come from the Irish arts.
Speciality: Embroidered Irish Linen The distinguishing feature of the Irish Linen House is that Greg Whelan has the unique ability to create on linen a ‘lifestyle’ which can be tailored to meet individual customer expectations.
Greg’s authentically Irish Collection of embroidered table runners are on 100% Irish Linen, with coordinating placemats and napkins. His bespoke designs have given Irish Linen a whole new dimension. The Irish Linen Houses collection is suitable especially as a wedding gift and can be personalized.
The product range through its versatility of design takes the market beyond individual homes to corporate dining suites and Embassies.
Speciality: Gourmet Fruit Preserves Using the finest organic fruit and herbs from their own and neighbouring orchards in rural Dublin, Ireland, Jamanana offers a unique range of 100% natural hand produced gourmet preserves, beautifully presented in convenient gift-sized portions.
Jamanana range of Irish Whiskey Marmalades are faithful to the small batch method handed down to Christine through generations of Granny Morgans and our traditional Irish Christmas treat is presented in Noel’s Batchelor’s Jam. Fingal’s traditional passion for good food is proudly captured by dedicated perfectionists in the Jamanana kitchens in Donabate, Rural Dublin, Ireland.
Speciality: Wall Art with Ogham Script For over two decades Philip Gaffney has produced Celtic-inspired giftware, at the Forge studio in rural Dublin. Famous for his chess sets, Irish cottages, Celtic Warriors and Leprechauns, Philip is unveiling his newest pieces at this year’s show. Using Ogham Script, an ancient alphabet which can be traced back to the 3rd century, Philip produces personalised wall art. Names and personal messages can be spelt out through Ogham, making each piece uniquely Irish. Clients include the former President of Ireland, along with Hollywood stars Martin Sheen and Maureen O’Hara.
Fingal’s Finest are being presented at the New York International Gift Fair by The Fingal County Enterprise Board (Government-sponsored agency).
