Financial information for business start-ups worth its weight in gold

Financial information for business start-ups worth its weight in gold

The event began with a presentation by Lar Burke of Companymoney.ie, which laid out the different options and channels open to businesses seeking capital for their enterprises, a topic relevant to all business owners in the current climate.

The presentation was followed by a very lively Speed Networking session facilitated by Paul Murgatroyd, Manager of the Fingal Business Network with all attendees holding a quick fire series of two minute network meetings with fellow Business Network Members.

Commenting on the success of the event, Paul Murgatroyd, Manager of the Fingal Business Network said “Despite recent reports of weak demand for credit in the SME sector, the presence of so many business people from the Fingal area at this event aimed at explaining the different financing options currently available, shows that there is certainly an appetite for finance in the market”.  He continued “As tonight’s excellent presentation from Lar Burke demonstrated, credit institutions are open for business, but in the current climate business owners must demonstrate a high level of financial astuteness when assessing whom to approach for funding and on what basis”
