Growing Your Food Business – New Product Development
Event: ‘Growing Your Food Business - New Product Development’
Date: Tuesday, 3rd July, 2012
Time: 6.30pm to 8.30pm
Location: Clarion Hotel, Liffey Valley Complex, Co. Dublin.
If you are an established SME food business owner or manager, or a potential entrepreneur considering a new food business idea, an innovative evening workshop on Tuesday, 3rd July, could help shape your business development strategy.
Co-ordinated by Dublin Food Chain, in association with the County Enterprise Boards in the Dublin region, the upcoming practical two-hour information seminar aims to highlight new and emerging opportunities in the retail and food service sectors and best practice for developing new products.
The event is designed to help attendees plan for 2013 by analysing forecasted food business trends.
Additional aspects of New Product Development which will be examined on the evening will include:
How to select and research new product ideas;
How to optimise your product through technical development;
Focus groups – how they work and resources available to help you develop products.
The evening workshop will also provide an informal networking opportunity for local businesses.
The Dublin Food Chain promotes awareness of food sector-specific training and development programmes. Since its launch in 2011, the collaborative network has also enabled Dublin food businesses to discuss joined strategies to capitalise on emerging market trends, as well as providing a chance to explore opportunities to reduce costs associated with marketing and promoting the local food industry.
‘Growing Your Food Business – New Product Development’ at the Clarion Hotel in Liffey Valley will be particularly beneficial to food producers, food manufacturers, restaurateurs, food distributors, specialist retailers and ‘concept-stage’ food business entrepreneurs.
