The essential purpose of bookkeeping is to reveal the amounts and sources of profit and loss for any given period. Proper bookkeeping should also reveal the nature and value of the assets and liabilities of a firm, as well as its net worth at the close of that period. This one day programme will enable participants to gain a clear understanding of the basic principles of bookkeeping including:

• learning how to maintain a cash book
• petty cash book
• reconcile a bank statement
• enable you to keep accurate and current records about your business financial activities.
