Fingal Based Company set to Double Workforce

Aviation Simulation provider Simtech is flying high after announcing multi-million euro investment.

An Taoiseach, Brian Cowen attended a tree planting ceremony to mark the Simtech announcement on Monday 25th May.  Currently employing 24 people they are creating Ireland's first purpose-built Aviation Centre of Excellence.  The centre will be located in Dublin Airport Logistics Park where they hope to attract pilots from the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

This investment will result in the doubling of personnel over the next five years. The workforce is specialist administration and technical, comprising engineering graduates trained to certified flight simulation standards and certified instructors to the airline industry.

Director Sé Pardy said: "Fingal was a natural choice for Simtech due to the availability of qualified staff and instructors, its proximity to an international airport and the good selection of accommodation options for visiting pilots", he added, "as a company we have also benefited enormously from the assistance of the Fingal County Enterprise Board which has supported us since we started".
