Positive Outlook from Fingal Companies

The results of a recent survey carried by Fingal County Council of over 4,000 businesses in Fingal to identify issues and concerns in the areas of competitiveness, recruitment and retention, skills and training, make for interesting reading.  more>>

It is evident that Fingal businesses are not immune to the current economic situation, however, interestingly enough they are more optimistic for the future of their own businesses and the local Fingal economy that they are for the Irish economy generally.

The main advantages and disadvantages of having a business in Fingal were seen as:

 

Advantages:

·                     Fingal being a growing area       – 38.7%

·                      Access to suppliers                   – 21.4%

·                     Transportation Infrastructure    – 19.1%

·                     Quality of Life                          – 18.6%

Disadvantages:

·                     Business Costs                       – 39.1%

·                     Traffic issues                         – 28.5%

·                     Lack of Parking                      – 24.8%

·                     Transport Infrastructure         – 16.1%
